If Auto Refresh Plus (ARP) stops refreshing after a few cycles, it is usually due to specific settings that limit or control refresh behavior.
How to Fix This Issue
1. Check Refresh Count Limit (Popup)
Auto Refresh Plus allows you to set how many times a page should refresh.
- Open the extension popup → Interval
- Scroll down in the popup
- Find Set Refresh Number
- Remove or increase the limit
If a limit is set, the extension will automatically stop after reaching that number.
2. Check User Interaction Behavior (Popup + General Settings)
Refresh may stop or pause when you interact with the page.
- Open the extension popup → Interval
- Scroll down to Refresh Behavior on User Interaction
- Check the selected option:
- Stop → Stops refresh completely
- Pause → Temporarily pauses refresh
- Restart (You can set a custom delay before restarting by entering the number of seconds to wait) → Resets the timer
To allow continuous refresh, choose a suitable option like Restart or disable stopping behavior.
Global Control (General Settings)
You can set default behavior for all websites:
From here you can:
- Define how refresh behaves on click, scroll, or typing
- Apply the same rule across all tabs
Why This Happens
These features are designed to give control over refresh behavior:
- Refresh Count Limit → Stops after defined number of cycles
- User Interaction Behavior → Stops or pauses when activity is detected
Summary
Auto Refresh Plus may stop refreshing due to a set refresh limit or interaction settings. Adjusting these options ensures continuous and uninterrupted refreshing.
