Keeping your account password up to date helps protect your Auto Refresh Plus account from unauthorized access. You can either change your password while signed in or reset it if you've forgotten it.
How to Change Your Password
Follow these steps:
- Open the Auto Refresh Plus extension
- Click the Settings icon in the extension popup
- Or visit https://account.autorefresh.io/settings?tab=security
- Open the Security tab
- Under Password, enter your:
- Current Password
- New Password
- Confirm New Password
- Click Update Password
Your new password will be required the next time you sign in to your Auto Refresh Plus account.
How to Reset Your Password
If you've forgotten your password, follow these steps:
- Log out of your Auto Refresh Plus account
- Go to https://account.autorefresh.io/login
- Enter your email address and click Continue
- Click Forgot Password?
- Enter your email address and click Send Reset Code
- Enter the verification code you received and click Verify Code
- Enter and confirm your new password
- Click Sign In with New Password to sign in using your new password
Password Requirements
When creating a new password:
- Your password must contain at least 8 characters
- Enter the same password in the Confirm New Password field
- The new password and confirmation password must match before you can update it
Important Notes
- You must know your current password to change it from Account Settings
- If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password? option from the sign-in page instead
- Password settings are managed from the Security tab in Account Settings
- You can access Account Settings from the extension Settings icon
