If you frequently visit the same website and want Auto Refresh Plus to start refreshing it automatically, you can use the Auto Start URLs feature. This allows matching websites to begin refreshing as soon as they are opened, without manually clicking the Start button.
How to Set a Website to Auto Refresh Automatically
Follow these steps:
- Open General Settings
- Navigate to AutoStart
- Select Auto Start URLs
- Add the website URL you want to refresh automatically
- Save your settings
Once configured, Auto Refresh Plus will automatically start refreshing any page that matches the URL rule.
Examples
You can add a specific website:
example.com
Or use wildcard patterns:
example.com/**.example.com/*
This allows multiple pages or subdomains to be refreshed automatically using a single rule.
Available Auto Start Options
Auto Refresh Plus provides two automation options:
On URLs Open
Starts refreshing automatically whenever a matching URL is opened in a browser tab.
On Browser Restart
Resumes refreshing when the browser is reopened.
These options can be enabled based on your monitoring requirements.
Common Use Cases
Auto Start URLs can be useful for:
- Product availability tracking
- Ticket release monitoring
- Job listing updates
- Live dashboards
- Frequently updated websites
Once configured, there is no need to manually start refreshing every time you visit the website.
Important Notes
- URL matching supports wildcard patterns
- Auto Start URLs are configured from General Settings
- Wildcard URLs are not supported when using On Browser Restart
- Only URLs that match your configured rules will start automatically
Summary
With Auto Start URLs, you can configure Auto Refresh Plus to begin refreshing specific websites as soon as they are opened. Add the desired URL, select how the auto-start behavior should work, and any matching page will start refreshing automatically without additional setup.
