How to Automatically Fill Out Forms When a Website Changes?

When a website changes and requires you to enter information repeatedly, Auto Refresh Plus (ARP) can automate the form-filling step with Run Macro After Detection. Page Monitor detects the configured match, then the macro can automatically enter the specified text into an input field.

How to Automatically Fill Out Forms When a Website Changes

Follow these steps:

  • Open the website where you want to automate the form
  • Open the Auto Refresh Plus extension
  • Go to Monitor
  • Configure your Page Monitor detection
  • Open Run Macro After Detection
  • Add a Fill Input step
  • Select the input field on the webpage
  • Enter the text you want the macro to enter
  • Arrange the step in the required position within the macro sequence
  • Click Test to verify that the macro fills the form correctly
  • Save the configured macro and start monitoring

When Page Monitor detects the configured match, the macro will execute the Fill Input action as part of its sequence.

Use Form Filling with Other Actions

You can combine Fill Input with other macro actions to create a longer workflow.

For example, a macro can:

  • Fill an input field
  • Select an option
  • Press a keyboard key
  • Click an element
  • Wait for an element
  • Continue with another action

Macro steps are executed sequentially from top to bottom.

Important Notes

  • Run Macro After Detection is triggered by a configured Page Monitor match.
  • Fill Input enters specified text into an input field.
  • Macro actions are executed sequentially from top to bottom.
  • You can combine Fill Input with other available macro actions.
  • You can record actions or add individual steps manually.
  • The macro can be tested before automatic execution.
  • The feature is configured through the extension popup.
  • It applies to the current URL only.

Summary

To automatically fill out a form when a website changes, configure Page Monitor to detect the required match, create a macro under Run Macro After Detection, add a Fill Input step with the required text, and test the sequence before enabling automatic execution.
