Device Sync & Settings Profiles Guide (Auto Refresh Plus)

Auto Refresh Plus (ARP) allows you to manage multiple devices from a single account. Instead of configuring every device separately, you can control everything from one Primary Device while all connected Secondary Devices automatically follow the same settings.

This makes it easy to keep your refresh rules, monitoring settings, alerts, and profiles synchronized across multiple computers and browsers.

One Account, Multiple Devices

You only need one ARP account to manage all your devices.

Here's how it works:

  • Create an ARP account using your email, Google, or Microsoft login
  • Log in on your main device
  • This device becomes your Primary Device
  • Generate a Sync Key
  • Use the Sync Key to connect additional devices as Secondary Devices

Secondary Devices do not require separate ARP accounts. They simply connect to your Primary Device using the Sync Key.

How Device Synchronization Works

When a Secondary Device is connected, it becomes part of your synchronized device network.

Any changes made on the Primary Device are automatically sent to all connected Secondary Devices.

This includes:

  • Refresh settings
  • Monitoring rules
  • Keywords
  • Alerts and notifications
  • Automation settings
  • Settings Profiles

There is no need to manually configure each device.

Device Types

Primary Device (Master Device)

The Primary Device is your main control center.

It is responsible for:

  • Managing all settings
  • Creating and editing Settings Profiles
  • Generating Sync Keys
  • Assigning profiles to devices
  • Managing connected devices

Only one Primary Device is allowed per account.

Secondary Device (Slave Device)

A Secondary Device follows the configuration provided by the Primary Device.

Secondary Devices:

  • Connect using a Sync Key
  • Receive updates automatically
  • Follow assigned Settings Profiles
  • Cannot modify settings independently

This ensures all devices remain consistent and centrally managed.

How Secondary Devices Are Controlled

All configuration changes are made on the Primary Device.

When you update a setting on the Primary Device:

  1. The change is saved to your ARP account
  2. Connected Secondary Devices receive the update automatically
  3. The new configuration is applied without manual setup

For example:

  • Change a refresh interval → all assigned devices update automatically
  • Add a new monitoring keyword → all assigned devices receive the change
  • Modify alert settings → all connected devices follow the new settings
  • Assign a different profile → device behavior updates instantly

This allows administrators to control multiple devices from a single location.

The device will connect and synchronize automatically.

What Are Settings Profiles?

A Settings Profile is a saved configuration that contains your ARP settings.

A profile can include:

  • Refresh intervals
  • Page monitoring rules
  • Keywords
  • Alerts and notifications
  • Automation settings

Profiles make it easy to run different workflows on different devices.

From here you can:

  • Create profiles
  • Edit profiles
  • Manage configurations
  • Assign profiles to devices

How to Switch Between Settings Profiles

You can easily switch between Settings Profiles to view or modify their configuration.

  1. Open General Settings
  2. In the header, locate the currently active Settings Profile name
  3. Click the profile name
  4. Select the profile you want to configure from the list

Once selected, all settings shown in Auto Refresh Plus will belong to that profile. Any changes you make will be saved to the selected profile and automatically applied to devices assigned to it.

How Profiles Control Devices

Profiles are created and managed on the Primary Device.

Each Secondary Device is assigned a profile and follows the settings contained within that profile.

When a profile is updated:

  • All devices using that profile receive the changes automatically
  • No manual updates are required on individual devices

This allows different groups of devices to perform different tasks while remaining centrally managed.

Example Use Case

Suppose you have four devices:

  • Office PC
  • Laptop
  • Home PC
  • Monitoring Server

You create two profiles:

Product Monitoring

  • Fast refresh intervals
  • Product availability monitoring
  • Stock alerts

Assigned to:

  • Office PC
  • Monitoring Server

Job Tracking

  • Moderate refresh intervals
  • Job listing monitoring
  • Custom keyword alerts

Assigned to:

  • Laptop
  • Home PC

When you update either profile, all assigned devices receive the new settings automatically.

Important Notes

  • Only one Primary Device is allowed per account
  • Multiple Secondary Devices can be connected
  • Secondary Devices cannot modify settings
  • Synchronization requires an active login and connection
  • All device management is handled from the Primary Device

Summary

Auto Refresh Plus allows you to manage multiple devices using a single account and a centralized control system.

The Primary Device acts as the administrator, while Secondary Devices connect using Sync Keys and automatically follow the assigned settings and profiles. This makes it easy to maintain consistent configurations, manage different workflows, and control multiple devices from one place.
