What is Hard refresh ?

A hard refresh is a way to force a web browser to refresh a page and retrieve the latest version of the page from the server, rather than loading a cached version. The Auto Refresh Plus extension for Chrome includes a feature called “Hard Refresh” that allows you to perform a hard refresh on a web page.

To use the Hard Refresh feature in the Auto Refresh Plus extension, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Auto Refresh Plus icon in the Chrome toolbar.
  2. In the extension’s toolbar popup, locate the “Time Interval” section.
  3. You will see a toggle labeled “Hard Refresh.” Turn this toggle on to enable the Hard Refresh feature.

Once you have enabled the Hard Refresh feature, you can perform a hard refresh on a web page by clicking the Auto Refresh Plus icon in the Chrome toolbar and selecting the “Hard Refresh” option from the toolbar popup. This will cause the extension to perform a hard refresh on the page.

Important Information about Extension configurations

Extension toolbar settings: These are settings that you can change from the extension’s toolbar popup, which appears when you click the Auto Refresh Plus icon in the Chrome toolbar. These settings apply only to the specific webpage or URL that is currently open in the browser. For example, if you turn on the Hard Refresh feature from the toolbar popup, it will only apply to the webpage or URL that is currently open, and not to other webpages or URLs that you may visit.

Extension options page settings: These are settings that you can change from the extension’s options page, which you can access by clicking the “Options” button in the extension’s toolbar popup. These settings apply to all webpages and URLs that you visit, unless you have overridden them with settings from the extension toolbar. For example, if you specify a refresh interval in the options page, it will apply to all webpages and URLs that you visit, unless you have set a different refresh interval for a specific webpage or URL from the toolbar popup.
